Inside the Bay:

In architectural terms, a bay is the space between two elements. It's a recess, a nook, a little compartment within. This blog is our bay. It's our little space nestled between the spontaneity of our human nature and the necessity of order in exceptional design.

We invite you to step back into the Bay at DM+A often, to keep tabs on us and learn how and why we do what we do, all the while working hard, having fun, and being nice.

Since the arrival of my little brother, Otis Jerome the tri-pod kitten, I’ve noticed that the attention normally lavished upon me has waned a bit over the past couple of months.  While I’ve generously welcomed him into the fold, I’ve been feeling a little snubbed by my typically adoring fans. So when my mom received an invitation from the famous San Francisco store Gump’s to have a portrait taken of her favorite pooch, she knew it was just what I needed to lift my spirits and get me back on track with my public.  The talented human and dog photographer, Jesse Freidin, set up camp amongst the luxurious trinkets to document many beautiful and charming pups such as myself. As you can see, the man is a genius.

I enjoyed a girls-only afternoon with my mom in Union Square, accepted all manner of offerings and attention from the Gump’s sales team, and sat for a glamorous photo shoot.  As a token of my appreciation, I presented my mom with fabulous portrait of myself for posterity.  I offer a sincere thanks to everyone involved in making this happen.  Now, I’m ready for my close-up.
